Kano Governor Revoked Some Contracts, Ensure Proper Handling.

Kano state governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has revoked abandoned 5 5 kilometre dual carriageway contracts in Dawakin Tofa local government area that was awarded to ROCAD constraction company by the former governor of the state Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso in 2012.

The state’s commissioner for information Muhammed Garba made the disclosure during a press briefing where he announced that the contract was abandoned by the ROCAD construction company for five years where the state’s executive council now handle the contract to messers CCECC construction company for over 600 million naira.

Garba added that the state government has constituted a high powered committee that would examine the payments made to the former contractors and the impacts of the proposes five kilometres dual carriage ways in the state for decision making and further actions by the state government.

Speaking to Daybreak news, Malam Abubakar Hassan Dawakin Tofa commended governor Ganduje for re-awarding the 5 kilometre dual carriegeway to a competent company that can finish the work as scheduled, where he called on the kano governor to study the possibility of completion all the proposed 5 Kilometres that were awarded by the Kwankwaso administration.
