By JABIRU A HASSAN, Kano. Despites all efforts being made by the kano state government and other food administration agencies to ban the sales and consumption of some contaminated juices in the state, up till now and as at the time of filing this report, many retail shops and open markets sells the juices to their consumers without following the directives. Our correspondent who visited many markets and shops in the city of kano and other rural areas reported that there are different types of imported juices that must be thoroughly checked and fish out from the people especially at present when most of the citizens are unaware of what is happening in the society about the killer juices. Furthermore, Malam Abdullahi Garba, Hajiya Fati Umar and Lawan Aminu told Daybreak News that " we just came to know that many people have gone as a result of consuming some juices and we heard little about the ban of the consumption of the juice , but we realised that such juices were always imported from abroad while some were locally produced by the people sue to makes money during fasting". They called on the kano state government to tighten it's belt in fishing out all imported juices from the shops, open rural markets or other places that commercial activities is being done during fasting breaking in order to ensure that everybody is healthy, and advises the people to stop drinking any juice that is brought into the society to avoid being victims.
