KEDCO Meters Are Not For Sales, Warns Staff Against Extortion In Franchise Area

Kano electricity distribution company, KEDCO said that it’s meters are not for sale at the Zero phase and no customer is entitled to pay anything especially when the company and federal government collaborate to end estimated billing.

The KEDCO management stated this in a new press statement signed and issued to our correspondent by the company’s head of corporate communications, Malam Ibrahim Sani Shawai where the company warns that no customer is scheduled to pay anything for meters in Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states.

The company is appealing to the general public at the franchise area to report any staff of the company found demanding payments for the meter installations to the nearest KEDCO office, and called on the consumers to accepts the metering systems due to avoid estimated bills.

” KEDCO is working seriously to ensure constant power supply in it’s catchment area amidst regular payment of bills, and we are always an board to receives complains, suggestions or counsels in our determination to serve everybody better”. The statement concluded.
