Key Resolutions Achieved During NNPP Kogi West Stakeholders Meeting

Resolutions Reached at the End of the Nnpp Kogi West Stakeholders Meeting Held on the 17th June, 2023 at Akk Hotel, Lokoja – Kogi State

Following recent developments in the NNPP, Kogi State Chapter, where prevailing facts and reality have become very clear, the Party’s Stakeholders from the Western Senatorial District of the State have come together to resolve as follows:

1. That Kogi West NNPP Stakeholders as a bloc frowns at the continuous marginalization, indecent behavior, actions and total disregard for the party’s structures and procedures by the State Chairman and the gubernatorial candidate he is parading.

2. That Kogi West NNPP Stakeholders totally disassociated itself from activities of the Chairman’s paraded gubernatorial, candidate, as we do not support nor endorse any of their activities thus far.

3. That Kogi West NNPP Stakeholders have observed and interrogated all actions so far and has come to a conclusion that NNPP Kogi State does NOT have a gubernatorial candidate yet, this is predicated on the pending court case instituted by one of the candidates.

4. That Kogi West NNPP Stakeholders have withdrawn ALL supports for the Chairman’s paraded gubernatorial candidate pending the final court judgement. And thus advised all Party faithfuls and supporters to be patient as this is the right step that will concretize the party for victory in November.

5. That the general public is advised to abstain, refrain and suspend further engagements with the NNPP’s Chairman’s paraded gubernatorial candidate in kogi State.

6. That the party should suspend all activities regarding the November 11, 2023 governorship election pending the final court judgment.

7. That Kogi West NNPP Stakeholders passes a vote of confidence on Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar (Bukky) as the leader of NNPP Kogi West as the Leader of the bloc in Kogi State.

8. The resolution of the meeting was reached with members of the stakeholders team to include, the Senatorial Candidate of Kogi West, House of Representatives Candidate, House of Assembly Candidate, Forum Chairman, 7 LGA Chairmen from Kogi West, State Executive from Kogi West and Leaders of NNPP from Kogi West where in attendance.
