Kogi Governor Unveils ‘Doing More Magazine,’ Business Directory To Showcase Dev. Strides

The Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has reiterated his determination to properly inform and educate the  international community of the developmental strides and achievements of his administration along with their impact on the Socio-economic growth of the State and the citizenry.

Governor Bello gave the assurance in Government House, Lokoja.
while Unveiling the quarterly Magazine Publications by the State Ministry Of Information and Communications and a novel online Confluence Business Directory as parts of activities to mark Nigeria’s Independence Anniversary celebration.

He Charged the Information Ministry to ensure wide circulation of the Magazine, especially at Embassies, High Commissions, Airports and other public places in order to showcase the creativity, ingenuity of the people and potentials of the state and need for investors to come and invest in the state.

“This magazine is coming at a time that the international community needs to know why our people voted for us massively. We are setting the pace in Nigeria”, he said.

The Governor pointed out that his administration remains committed  to the welfare of the people, noting  that the magazine has captured in details what made the people of the state to vote overwhelmingly for him and his party at the polls.

He equally expressed confidence that his Administration’s agenda is  breeding positive impact on the state and it’s already been documented for the whole world to see.

Earlier,  the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo said the ‘Doing More Magazine’ is the response of the Government to the need to effectively communicate her achievements to the outside world.

He said the Directory was designed and hosted by the hardworking staff of his Ministry that is prepared to use ICT to improve the internally generated revenue of the State, saying businesses will be hosted for free in the first ninety days.

“The first three months are free and we are targeting listing over 10,000 businesses before December.
“I want to commend the staff of the Ministry who birthed the Magazine and the CBD, saying Government will continue to showcase the resourcefulness of dedicated civil servants”.
