Kogi Nov. Poll: VP Shettima canvasses Votes for APC’ s Candidate, Ododo In Kogi

The Vice President of Nigeria,  Alhaji Kashim Shettima on Sunday in Lokoja called on the people of Kogi State to vote massively for the Candidate of the All Progress Congress, (APC), Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman in the November Governorship election in the state.

The VP made who made the call during the Kogi APC governorship flag off campaign, held at the Muhammadu Buhari square in Lokoja on Sunday said the APC government in the state has done well in the areas of both human and infrastructural development.

He pointed out that voting APC’s candidate in Kogi will bring the state into limelight at the federal level as the Federal Government is already collaborating with foreign companies to resuscitate Ajaokuta steel Company towards economic prosperity of the nation.

He maintained that, the Federal Government is also putting measures in place towards the dredging of river Niger, in a bid to attract meaningful development in Kogi State and Nigeria in general.

In his address, the National Chairman of APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, said the present administration has done well for the People of Kogi State hence the need for consolidation and continuity.

Ganduje called for votes for Ododo who according to him is ready to consolidate on the good work of Alhaji Yahaya Bello especially in uniting the people of the state and ensure that development keeps springing up at the grassroots

In his welcome address, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing the milestone of support that enables him to perform and reposition the state to the present status.

He thanked the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr Umar Ganduje for enriching the party towards victory.

“You all knew where we took the state from and where it is today in terms of healthcare delivery, education, infrastructure development and others too numerous to mention. You gave us support and opportunity to perform this much”.

“I am confident that you will overwhelmingly vote Usman Ododo and on that day, we will jubilate  victory.”

“We have emulated one of our founding fathers, Chief Obafemi Awolowo in education sector by declaring free education in the state.”

“In Kogi state, there is no ethnic agenda, the only thing we have is development agenda and that is what we are working on.

The Candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) in the November 11 Governorship election Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo in his address said his agenda is to unite Kogites and bring meaningful development to the people.

The Governorship Candidate who stated that, Kogi State belongs to APC, appealed to electorates come out en-mass on election day and vote for him and his Deputy Joel Oyibo for the needed development.

According to him, his campaign mantra will be on sustainability for human capital development, Youths empowerment
