He made the disclosure in a chat with Daybreak news in kano, adding that local councils are in a critical condition where all activities relates to the local administration is not going well despite that local governments remained the hope of the masses especially those who cannot directly see their governors and other elected leaders a part from the local councils chairmen.

“I am appealing to the federal government under our dynamic president Muhammadu Buhari to restore the lost glory of the local governments in order to ensure that the electorates are benefiting with many projects and other infrastructure as seen previously”. He stressed.

Alhaji Ahmed Basume announces that lack of full autonomy to the local councils has certainly retarded their efforts towards the execution of developmental projects especially at present when the population is increasing and states governments deeming it difficult to cover everywhere.
