The crisis rocking the Kwara state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken another twist as the party’s deputy national publicity secretary, Yekini Nabena, berated the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed, over his demand for the cancellation of the ongoing membership registration and validation exercise in the state.

Credit: @OfficialAPCNg Source: Twitter He accused the committee led by a senator, John Danboi, of condoning irregularities, saying it has taken the side of Governor AbdulRazaq in the crisis that has broken the party into four factions in the state. The minister said the reports from the monitoring teams showed that they did not comply with the rules, adding that the registration is being carried out without a party membership register. The minister said in Baruten local government, registration materials were handed over to the speaker of the State House of Assembly who is from there.
Meanwhile,reporters had previously reported that Lai Mohammed called for the cancellation of the ongoing membership registration and validation exercise of the ruling APC in Kwara state. It was reported that he disclosed this at a press conference in his hometown, Oro, on Monday, February 15, adding that the laid down procedure in the conduct of the exercise has violated.
