LGEAs Mobilization Officers Challenged To Actualise Tambuwal’s Agenda On Basic Education

Mobilization Officers of the 23 Local Government Education Authorities in the state have been tasked to continue to work for the success of governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal’s commitment to Improving basic education sub-sector in the state.

Director Mobilization State Universal Basic Education Board Alhaji Kabiru Aliyu made the call when he received forum of LGEA’s Mobilization Officers who paid him courtesy visit in his office.

Alhaji Kabiru Aliyu said the call become imperative in view of the fact that Mobilization Officers have a great role to play towardst the success of basic education at local government level.

According to him they can do this through effective coverage of all the projects executed by the state government in their respective LGEAS such as construction of new blocks of class rooms,renovation, provision of learning and teaching materials as well as training and re-training of teachers among others.

Alhaji Kabiru Aliyu maintained that the State Universal Basic Education Board under the leadership of Alhaji Altine Shehu Kajiji is committed to supporting the LGEA Mobilization Officers with working tools such as tablets for them to conduct their task effectively.

He described Mobilization Officers as key to the success or otherwise of basic education at the grassroot level being them the image makers of their respective LGEA’s.

Speaking earlier, the chairman of the forum of 23 LGEAs Mobilization Officers who is also the SMO Sokoto South LGEA Aminu Ahmad Muhammad said the visit was aimed at thanking the Director Mobilization for his relentless effort to reviving the function of LGEA SMOs.

He said Social Mobilization Officers of the 23 LGEAs would for ever remain great ful to Alhaji Kabiru Aliyu for his commitment to reviving their functions and making them figures at the LGEA level.

Highlight of the visit was the presentation of banner and two wall clock each bearing the picture of the DSM and his Deputy Shehu Haruna.

Later the DSM led the forum to the office of the Permanent Secretary of the board Alhaji Ahmed Rufa’i Ibrahim for introduction and recognition.
