Members Of The Society Challenged To Support Islamic Activities

Wealthy individuals and corporate bodies in the state have been challenged to contribute towards the advancement of Islamic activities.

Representative of the Sultanate Council in Tambuwal District Alhaji Mahe Abubakar Kayaye threw the challenge at the final debate competition on English and Arabic languages organized by the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria Sokoto North Area Council.

Abubakar said they can do this by sponsoring such competitions and providing prizes to the winners as well as ensuring the progress of Islamic schools across the state.

He described the activities of the association as worthy of note in view of their significance to the progress of Islam.Abubakar who is also the Grand Patron of the Association praised the efforts of the Association for organizing series of activities and quiz competition among students in the state and assured of the Sultanate Council continued support at all times.

Earlier, the representative of the Commissioner of Finance, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna commended the efforts of the Association towards inculcating Islamic virtues to the students.

In their separate comments, the representative of the Chairman Sokoto North local government and Principal Government Day Secondary School Kofar Rini, pledged their assistance to the Association.
