Minister Designate, Simon Bako Lalong Meets Plateau APC, ALGON & Others; Rallies Support For Tinubu Government

Former Plateau State Governor and Minister Designate, Simon Bako Lalong has received members of the Plateau State Working Committee who visited him in Jos to congratulate him over his nomination and clearance as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Leading the State APC EXCO, Chairman of the party Hon. Rufus Bature said the entire members of the APC in Plateau State as well as other citizens are highly elated with the choice of Governor Lalong by President Bola Tinubu.

They thanked Mr President for appointing the leader of the party in the state as a Minister, saying the gesture has reinvigorated supporters and party faithfuls.

Other speakers described the nominee as a peace builder whose tenure as Governor of Plateau State is already being missed by Plateau citizens across all backgrounds.

They assured Lalong that they will continue to support the Government in building a Nigeria that will be good for everyone.

Another group under auspices of the Southern Plateau APC Stakeholders Forum were also at his residence to formally congratulate him and extend solidarity.

Leader of group and DG ITF, Sir Joseph Ari, described Lalong as a unifier who embraced all people irrespective of religious, ethnic or geographical differences.

He said being a detribalised Nigerian also, President Bola Tinubu made the right choice by appointing the leader of the APC in the State, assuring that the party will continue to grow from strength to strength.

In separate remarks, Alh Musa Nyalum, Mrs Victoria Umaru and Elder Daniel Fanto appreciated President Bola Tinubu for making a wise choice on a true leader and bridge builder.

When the elected Chairmen of the 17 Local Government Areas in Plateau State under the Leadership ALGON Chairman, Miskom Alex Nantuam came calling, it was another round of commendation for President Tinubu over the appointment of the former Governor who left behind, enduring legacies in Plateau State.

Naantuam said Lalong’s projects in education, health care and infrastructure endeared the people to the APC, adding that the Renewed Hope Agenda of the APC administration is daily gaining grounds at the grassroots.

In his response, Governor Lalong said he was humbled by the goodwill and assurances of prayers and support by many Nigerians particularly the home base.

He promised not to dissapoint the President, Nigerians and the people of Plateau State who have been very passionate about a better Nigeria.

He urged Nigerians to continue to support the Bola Tinubu Presidency as it implements programmes and policies to revive the economy and turn around the fortunes of the country.

Lalong also solicited prayers for the return of peace to Plateau state and condemned the recent attacks on innocent citizens leading to loss of lives of innocent citizens
