As part of the 2025 Democracy Day celebrations Barr. Goronyo distributed 25 brand new motorcycles to reduce redundancy in the area.
This initiative aims to support youth empowerment and promote developmental efforts by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu.
The motorcycle distribution is designed to provide a reliable source of livelihood for young people, particularly those involved in education, agriculture, and small-scale enterprises.
Minister Goronyo emphasized that this initiative “is part of my personal contribution to supporting the efforts of the Sokoto State Government and President Tinubu’s administration in promoting youth empowerment, job creation, and community development.
” The motorcycles will ease transportation challenges faced by young people, enabling them to be more productive and self-reliant”.
Goronyo credited his inspiration to the exemplary leadership of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and Governor Ahmad Aliyu, both of whom have prioritized youth-focused initiatives.
Born in Sabon Garin Dole of Sokoto State, Goronyo is a lawyer and politician with extensive experience in public service and governance.
He obtained his Diploma in Law from the College of Arts and Sciences, Sokoto, and LLB from Uthman Danfodio University, with further qualifications including Masters in Energy Security Management and Business Management Leadership.
Goronyo has held various leadership positions, including serving as a member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Commissioner in different ministries, and currently, Minister of Works.
