Muslim Solidarity Forum Calls For Peaceful Election In Sokoto

The Muslim Solidarity Forum which is an umbrella body for Imams,Sch,Preachers,Islamic Organizations,Islamic Centers and Sufi Orders in the state called on all candidates and political leaders in the state to fear Allah and remember that power belongs ro Allah,the Almighty One.

Unconnected with the tense political atmosphere and the rivalry and competition for the next elections, the disturbing atmosphere during the presidential election coupled with violence has caused results inconclusive.

Adressing newsmen,the chairman Muslim Solidarity Forum Professor Isah Muhammad Maishanu said no amount of violence that will make a person get what has not been destined for him.

Quoting the Qur’anic verse, the professor preached that severe punishment awaits anyone who kills innocent lives as was contained in the Holy Qur’an.
He then called on political leaders to retract the inflammatory statements and direct their followers to come to polling stations unarmed and cast their votes peacefully and reiterated the need for all to be their brother’s keepers.
