The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) conducted successful airstrikes in Niger State on November 16, eliminating several terrorists and destroying the armoury of notorious bandit leader Mallam Saleh. The operation targeted the Shiroro Local Government Area, a hotspot for terrorist activity, as part of **Operation FANSAN YAMMA**.

According to NAF spokesman Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, Saleh, a loyalist of the notorious Dogo Gide, had been terrorizing local communities with attacks and abductions. The NAF aircraft tracked Saleh’s movements and launched precise strikes, resulting in the destruction of his weapons cache and a significant secondary explosion. This has crippled the terrorists’ ability to operate in the region.

These airstrikes are a critical part of the ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist groups and restore safety to affected communities in Niger and surrounding areas.
