Nasarawa Assembly confirms former works commissioner as MD/ CEO, NUDB

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has confirmed the appointment of Engr. Mohammed Wada Yahaya, the former Commissioner for Works as Managing Direrctor/ Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) of Nasarawa Urban Development Board ( NUDB).

Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House announced this during the House proceedings in Lafia today.

Balarabe Abdullahi said that the screening and confirmation of Engr.Wada Yahaya followed his appointment by Gov Abdullahi Sule.

“Engr. Mohammed Wada Yahaya has served the state as Commissioner for Works and Adviser.

“To the best of my knowledge, he has not erred while discharging his duties. He has served the state diligently.

“Engr. Mohammed Wada Yahaya is hereby confirmed as the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of the NUDB”, he said.

The speaker congratulated Engr Wada Yahaya and wished him well.

He has directed the clerk to the House to communicate the House resolution to Gov. Abdullahi Sule for necessary action.

Earlier, Hon Tanko Tunga, the Majority Leader of the House, moved a motion for the screening and confirmation of Engr Wada Yahaya as Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of NUDB.

Hon Luka Zhekaba,( PDP- Obi 2) the Deputy Minority Leader seconded the motion.

The House unanimously screened and confirmed Engr. Wada Yahaya as the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of NUDB.
