The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Nasarawa State Council, Comrade Salihu Mohammed Alkali, has extended warm birthday wishes to Comrade Abel Leonard, Secretary of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), as he celebrates his birthday today.
In a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Shuaibu Usman, on Thursday, Comrade Alkali commended the courageous and versatile journalist for reaching this milestone in life. He expressed his delight in the celebrant’s dedication, passion, performance, and unwavering loyalty to the Alkali-led NUJ administration in Nasarawa.
Comrade Alkali described Comrade Leonard as a respected ally, dear brother, and close friend, emphasizing his desire to continue working closely with him. He highlighted Leonard’s exemplary leadership and remarkable ability to competently handle challenging tasks.
Comrade Alkali believes that Comrade Leonard will remain a vital contributor to the growth and advancement of journalism in Nasarawa State and across Nigeria. He prayed that Almighty God blesses him with long life and wisdom.
