Nasarawa State Government commences training for civil servants in the state on Data Processing as part of measures toward promoting economic development in the state.
Engr. Abdulahi Sule while declaring the the four day training opened in lafia said the initiative is part of steps towards injecting new trends emerging in the Information and Communication Technology to enhance effective service delivery in the civil service sector of the state.
The governor represented by the state Head of Service Mr. Nicholas Aboki who stated that the ongoing reforms of the civil service in the state is achieved through constant engagements of workers to update the state on current situations.
Director General, Nasarawa State Bureau for Information and Communication Technology, Mallam Shehu Ibrahim also said over 200 Data Processing Officers drawn from Ministries, Departments and Agencies as the first set of civil servants to participate in the training.
He added that the training will focus on how to make use of e – governance and work from home, how to use zoom applications for meetings and data processing in line with the global best practice among others.
