NECO Registrar and Chief Executive, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, announced the results on Tuesday during a press briefing at the council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State. He said candidates could access their results on the council’s official website using their registration numbers.

According to Wushishi, 96,979 candidates registered for the examination, comprising 51,823 males and 45,156 females, while 95,160 candidates eventually sat for the exam across 16 subjects.

In English Language, 73,167 out of 93,425 candidates, representing 78.32 per cent, obtained credit and above. In Mathematics, 85,256 of the 93,330 candidates who sat for the subject, representing 91.35 per cent, secured credit and above.

Overall, 82,082 candidates, representing 86.26 per cent, recorded five credits and above regardless of English Language and Mathematics.

On examination malpractice, the registrar disclosed that 9,016 candidates were involved in various forms of misconduct, indicating a 31.7 per cent increase from 6,160 cases recorded in 2024. He added that five supervisors were recommended for blacklisting for aiding malpractice, while four examination centres were recommended for de-recognition over whole-centre malpractice.
