New Year: Christians In Kano Prays For Peaceful General Elections

As the new year celebrations held today Sunday, 1st January, 2023, Christians across Kano state have offered prayers for the successful hitch-free conducts of the general elections.

Daybreak News correspondent in Kano reported that the new year festivals was peaceful like that of the Christmas, adding that this year’s activities different from the previous events because of the economic situation which is a global issue.

Pastor Benjamin Mamma of the Theological Collage Tofa in Tofa local government area told our correspondent that ” this year’s new year festivals was also very colourful and hitch-free, while their neighbors who are the college’s host community celebrate with us in an interesting manner which is a good day”. He lamented.

He announced that they offered Goodwill prayers for the successful conduct of the forthcoming general elections, and congratulations Nigerians for witnessing another new year with a hope of getting more development.

Similarly, Mr. Augustine from Na’ibawa quarters kano municipality, announced that this year Christmas and new year activities was interesting especially when everywhere was also secured which shows that Kano state is very safe for long decades.

Daybreak News visited Bichi, Ungogo, Tofa and some parts of Kano municipality where the celebration is still going on as at the time of filing this report.
