Newly Appointed Commissioner Prof. Ahmed Ladan Ala Unveils Sokoto State Education Master Plan

Prof. Ahmed Ladan Ala, the newly appointed Commissioner for Education in Sokoto State, has outlined his ambitious vision for transforming the state’s educational system.

In his first official meeting, held at the Sultan Maccido Institute for Quranic and General Studies, Prof. Ala met with Directors and Heads of Agencies under the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education. The session focused on presenting a strategic master plan to address key challenges in the sector.

According to a statement by Information Officer Ibrahim Iya, the commissioner’s plan centers on enhancing access, quality, and infrastructure across Sokoto’s schools. Prof. Ala emphasized initiatives such as comprehensive teacher training programs, curriculum reform, and the integration of modern technology into classrooms.

He urged stakeholders to work collaboratively to achieve these objectives and called for greater transparency and accountability in managing educational programs and resources. Prof. Ala expressed confidence that these measures would significantly improve education standards in the state.
