By Jennifer Yusuf

Nigeria has the potentials to become Africa’s most industrialised nation in less than ten years if the abundant human and natural resources readily available in the country are adequately harnessed.

This was the view of Deputy Managing Director of Sinoria FABCOM, Mr. Jackie Dai Hui, in a chat with journalist, in Abuja while unveiling the company’s new line of product known as fibre cement board.

He noted that their investment in Nigeria is an eye opener as they have seen first hand the huge potentials of Nigeria in terms of human and raw material resources.

“Nigeria is just about where China was about 20 years ago and like China Nigeria can transform its fortune in the next 10 to twenty years to become not just an African giant but a global giant”.

He noted that their massive investment in Nigeria is borne out of the believe in the future of Nigeria. “we see ourselves as partners with the Nigerian government and are here to stay and be partners in the growth and development of Nigeria”

On their new product line, fibre cement board, he noted that it was part of the expansion plan of the company haven established itself as a top brand in the manufacture of stone coated roofing sheets. “it is an indication of our long term plans for Nigeria, we are not repatriating our profits home but reinvesting here because we believe in Nigeria, this is just the beginning as more products in the building materials segment are on the way” he said
