Nigerian Stars Davido and Rema Shine Bright at the 2023 Trace Awards in Rwanda

In a dazzling evening of musical celebration, Nigerian artists Davido and Rema emerged as the shining stars of the 2023 Trace Awards, which took place in Kigali, Rwanda, on October 21.

Rema’s remarkable talents were recognized with two prestigious awards. His chart-topping track “Calm Down” was honored as the “Song of the Year,” and he also clinched the title of “Best Global African Artiste,” sharing this recognition with South African sensation Nomcebo Zikode.

Meanwhile, Davido walked away with a pair of accolades, securing the titles of “Best Male” and “Best Collaboration.” His exceptional contributions to the music industry were widely acknowledged at the event.

Additionally, Burna Boy’s exceptional album “Love Damini” earned him the coveted “Album of the Year” award, cementing his status as one of Africa’s musical powerhouses.

The 2023 Trace Awards showcased the remarkable talent and diversity of African and global artists, further establishing the event as a significant platform for recognizing musical excellence.
