“Nnamdi Kanu’s Medical Visit: SSS Releases IPOB Leader for Examination”

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the legal representative of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has revealed that Mr. Kanu has undergone his long-awaited medical examination. According to Mr. Ejiofor’s statement on Saturday, the medical examination took place in an undisclosed hospital in Abuja on Friday.

The consultation with Mr. Kanu’s chosen personal physician was carried out outside the State Security Service (SSS) facility, where he has been detained since his rearrest in June 2021. The counsel stated that the medical examination was seamless and productive, and Mr. Kanu will soon progress to the next stage.

Amidst facing a terrorism trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Nnamdi Kanu’s health has been a matter of concern, and this recent release for a medical visit has brought some relief to his supporters. While the medical examination has been completed successfully, the trial at the Federal High Court continues.
