Group under the guise of National Coalition of APC in 19 Northern States, have Petitioned the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, calling for the suspension of the Acting Managing Director (AMD) of the Bank of Agriculture Alwan Ali Alhassan.
The National President of the coalition Dr. Gimba Maina, made the call on behalf members of the group while addressing newsmen in Kaduna yesterday.
Their petition was also copied to the office of the Vice President, office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senate Committee Chairman on Agriculture, House Committee Chairman on Agriculture, DSS and EFCC respectively.
The coalition is alleging that the AMD has purchased a fleet of official vehicles worth over N250 million for personal and unofficial use.
They group alleged that despite receiving a substantial sum of N10 billion from the Federal government in 2022, he failed to utilize the funds, in accordance to the Bank’s budget.
The group also accused the MD for non-payment of salaries from September to October.
The petitioners called for constituting a committee that will thorough investigation into the said allegation they raised against the Acting MD during his tenure.
All effort to get the AMD, proved abortive as insiders at office of the agency located along Yakubu Gowon Way, Kaduna said he was out of the town. The public relations officer, Faith failed to responds when contacted through her contact number to clarify the AMD position.
