Northwest University Sokoto Opens Admission for 2025/2026

Northwest University, Sokoto, has announced the commencement of admissions into its programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Registrar, Alhaji Umar Mussa Garun Babba, in a statement, said applications are open for fully accredited courses across five faculties and the College of Health Sciences.

Programmes under the College of Health Sciences include Medicine (MBBS), Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Radiography, Physiotherapy, Public Health, and Environmental Health.

The Faculty of Computing and Sciences offers Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Industrial Mathematics, and Physics with Electronics.

For the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences, available courses are Business Administration, Public Administration, Sociology, Psychology, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Mass Communication, Public Relations, and Information and Media Studies.

Other options include Library and Information Science, Educational Management, Educational Technology, Special Education, Computer Science Education, and Social Studies Education under the Faculty of Education, while the Faculty of Law offers LLB Law.

The Registrar explained that UTME candidates must have chosen Northwest University as their first choice and scored at least 150 in the JAMB examination. Direct entry applicants, he said, are required to possess a minimum of A-level qualifications with credit passes.
