Nasarawa state government says it will construct a secretariat complex in the state capital tagged ‘Legacy Project in the state worth the sum of fourteen billion, seven hundred and nine million, seven eight thousand, two hundred and fifty naira and thirty one Kobo. ( N14,709,78,250.31k)
State commissioner for information, culture and Tourism, Dogo Shamma, disclosed this to newsmen, shortly after the state executive council today in government house lafia.
He said the complex will be sited close to the state High Court and Assembly complexes, adding that the idea for the the project is to bring all government offices to one environment.
The commissioner also said the the new project has been captured in 2021 budget, which will be presented to the state assembly on the 17th of November, 2020.
In his word he said “The state secretariat when established will have the sole purpose of conducting government businesses and shall served as a one stop shop for the public to interact with the operatives of beurocratic affairs thereby facilitating the ease of doing business”
He further stressed that a land measuring 180.88 hecters located along Shandam road Lafia, has been identified for the legacy project
