Okene Agog as Gov. Bello Presents Staff of Office To Ohinoyi of Ebira-Land

Thousands of indigenes of Ebira Kingdom on Thursday gathered in Okene, the central senatorial district of Kogi state to witness the Official Coronation and Presentation of Staff of Office to the New Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alh. Ahmed Tinaji Anaje.

The event which took place at the Central Palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland was well attended by prominent sons and daughters Ebiraland as well as top officials of Kogi state government.

Addressing the crowd, Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi state reiterated his commitment to the traditional institutions in the state, assuring the Traditional rulers of continuous support from the incoming administration of Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo.

He said “I want to call on all the sons and daughters of Ebiraland that we should all come together and rally round our Ohinoyi of Ebiraland for the greatness, development and security of our land”.

Gov. Bello appreciates all the contestants for stool of Ohinoyi of Ebiraland for the spirit of sportsmanship they displayed.

“God Almighty has enthroned Alh. Dr. Ahmed Tijani Anaje out of the seventy eminently qualified contestants. I appreciate statesmanship and the display of maturity through the process of selecting the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland”.

Tijani Anaje was appointed to replace Late Dr. Ado Ibrahim who died on the 29th of October 2023 at the age of 95.

He was Born on 29th June, 1974 into the family of Late Alhaji Muhammed Anaje Aliyu of Asuwe Clan, Dr. Tijani Anaje attended Seifudeen Primary School, Okengwe where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1983.

He attended Ebira Muslim Community College Okengwe (EMCCO) in Okene LGA of Kogi State where he obtained his West African School Certificate (WASC) in 1993.

After his secondary school education, he started his Islamic Studies at the Sharafudeen Madrasat, Okengwe under the leadership of Mukadam Alhaji Yakubu Ta’aba.
He later acquired a Diploma in Applied Psychology from University of Jos.

Alhaji (Dr.) AhmedTijani Muhammed Anaje was enlisted into the Nigerian Army in the year 1995 as 39 Regular intake, where he rose to, and was decorated as Warrant Officer on the 13th of October, 2021 shortly before his ascension to the stool Ohi of Okengwe/Okene.
