The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has urged students nationwide to reject fraudulent practices and uphold integrity as future leaders.He gave the advice when students and management of ACAD System International School, Jikwoyi, Abuja, visited the EFCC Academy in Karu, Abuja, on a study tour.
According to a statement by the EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, Olukoyede, represented by Assistant Commander of the EFCC (ACE1) Chidimma Amanambu, encouraged the students to maintain good conduct at all times. He said integrity developed at a young age lays the foundation for a corruption-free society.
The EFCC chairman noted that the visit aligns with the commission’s preventive education and youth engagement initiatives aimed at combating economic and financial crimes.
Deputy Commandant of the Academy, ACE1 Aliyu Yunisa, outlined the EFCC’s mandate, which includes the investigation, prevention and prosecution of economic and financial crimes, as well as collaboration with local and international partners.
Deputy Superintendent of the EFCC, DSE Angel O. Israel, also encouraged the students to embrace accountability and patriotism, stressing that national development depends on ethical leadership and responsible citizenship.
The visit featured interactive sessions and guided tours of selected academy facilities, with students engaging officials during a question-and-answer segment.
