Ondo: How Food seller stabs ex- boyfriend over N500 argument

Sola Seun, a food seller in Ondo state has allegedly stabbed her ex-boyfriend, Lomi Akinbinu, during an argument over N500 .

The Ondo State Police Command has arraigned Sola before a Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ondo town; Sola was said to have stabbed the victim in the stomach with a knife during a fight between them in the Iyalaje market Area of the town.

The Prosecution said the defendant committed the offence on May 4th,2022 around 9:30 pm at Iyalaje market in Ondo; the defendant however pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Police Prosecutor,Mr. Bernard Olagbayi, told the court that he will be calling 3 witnesses to testify and also applied for a date to enable him study the case file; Counsel for the defendant,P.O Afolayan applied for her bail in liberal terms.

The Magistrate, Mrs Charity Adeyanju, in her ruling granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like form, stating that the surety must be resident within the jurisdiction of the court; she adjourned the case till May 30, 2022 for hearing.
