Barely one week later, tongues are still wagging following the burial of a dead married woman with her 8 months pregnancy, an omen variously described by many as an abomination and anti-traditional burial rites.
The incident which reportedly occurred in Maraba Rido in Chikun LGA of Kaduna community has continue to spread from one community to another, with many people, mostly women condemning the development.
Narrating the ugly trend in an informal group conversation with one Victoria Adanma, in an grieved mode, outrightly discarded those in support, saying even 4 months pregnancy ought have been operated, and child removed before any burial in every known culture and society, lamenting why this was different.
According to the women, the husband of the late woman that died at St. Gerard Catholic hospital, kaduna, rejected Doctors advise to even carryout surgery operation on the woman and remove the child even before and after her dead, setting tongues wagging, and creating rooms for suspicion of the husband.
Victoria Adanma, according to reliable information, added that the dead body of the woman was forced into the coffin as a result of the sized of the pregnancy, against all advised.
While they termed it as unusual and abnormal, it was believed that it’s an overload for woman and deprivation of the right of the child to be buried separately, even though it may amount to nothing to some people, according one other person. Efforts to get the family was futile as the women refused mentioning them, but vehemently condemned the action.
