Over 248 Thousand Out Of School Pupils Return To Schools In Sokoto

The need for all to support toward ensuring that all eligible children in the state return to Schools has again been stressed. 

Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education Dr MB Abubakar Guiwa made the plea at the Official Flag off of BESDA Enrolment Drive Campaign 2020/2021 held at Kaurar Kimba Village in Wamakko Local Government Area. 

Dr Bello Guiwa said this was in view of the fact that Sokoto is among the States with higher number of out of School pupils.

He said their return to Schools in order to continue with their studies up to higher level will enable the State to prosper. 

According to him, about 248 thousand pupils out of Schools pupils were returned to Schools within four years.
