Parents Advised To Send Their Wards Back To School As The Term Ends

Parents in the state have been urged to send their wards back to school as the first term holiday ends.

Permanent Secretary of the State Universal Basic Education Board Alhaji Ahmed Rufa’i Ibrahim made the call in a statement through his media aide,Abbas Tukur Sanyinna.

Alhaji Ahmed Rufa’i who is also the oveseer of the Board said the call become imperative as the academic activities would resume fully across all the schools under the board on the tenth of this month.

He stressed the need for parents and guardians of pupils to complement the state government effort in education sector by sending their children to school in good time.

Doing this according to him will make the pupils not to be left behind in all the academic and extra curricular activities.

The SUBEB Overseer however challenged the education managers such as Education Secretaries, Supervisors,Monitoring Officers and Area Education Officers to be alive to their responsibilities for the development of education at the basic level.

This he said they can do by ensuring vigorous monitoring and inspection of schools under them.

Alhaji Ahmed Rufa’i said on its part the board is committed to setting up teams that would be saddled with the responsibility of inspecting schools across all the state.

He used the medium to warned teachers against absconding from their duty post as the board will not hesitate to punishing the earring teachers.
