The main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has defeated the ruling All progressive Congress (APC) in a State Assembly Bye election held in Sabon Gari constituency in Zaria, Kaduna state.
The candidate of the PDP Hon. Usman Alibaba scored 9,113 votes to emerged victorious against his APC opponent who scored 7,404 votes, in the election held on Saturday.
A statement by spokesman of the state PDP, Abraham
Alberah Catoh, stressed that “The PDP candidate secured 9,113 votes to defeat his APC rival, who came second with 7,404 votes, in Sabon Gari, in Zaria.
He stated that by this victory, Hon. Usman Alibaba has been signed, sealed, declared and delivered to the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Lugard Hall.
“The Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Kaduna State Chapter and the entire PDP family wish to thank all it’s members, supporters and sympathisers for a job well done.
“This is just the beginning of other victories in the very near future!”, PDP stated.
“It is also the way to go in bringing an end to the repressive and brutish government of the APC in our State and the entire country.
PDP officially congratulated Hon. Usman AliBaba for emerging victorious at the Kaduna State Assembly Bye Election, Sabon Gari Constituency, which took place Saturday.
“Congratulations to all all PDP members and the good people of Sabon Gari.
