Plateau Governor’s Golf Cup Is A Big Boost For State’s Image, Tourism And Economy” Lalong

Governor Simon Bako Lalong says the growth of the game of Golf in Plateau State is a major boost for the image, tourism and economy of the State which needs to be sustained. 

The Governor made the assertion when he performed the Tee-Off at the annual Governor’s Cup Tournament holding at the Lamingo Golf Course Jos.

Lalong said the game has continued to attract players from within and outside the country who are not only ambassadors of the true picture of the State, but also able to add to the economy of the State during their visit and stay.

He said his administration has done a lot to improve the infrastructure for the game and also discover talents who are making the nation proud by winning in several competitions. 

He promised to work with all stakeholders in ensuring that the sport gets more sponsorship and participation so as to consolidate on its gains even after he leaves office.
