Police Inspector’s Son Allegedly Fatally Stabs Boy in Delta State

In a tragic incident in Warri, Delta State, the son of a serving Police Inspector, Destiny Ogbantu, has reportedly stabbed a young boy, Onyebuchi Ernest Emeka, to death. The suspect fled the scene following the incident, which took place near the Police Barracks close to “A” Division and the Warri Area Command on Friday, September 22nd, around 6 pm.

The exact motive behind the fatal stabbing remains unclear as of this report. It is known that the deceased visited the police barracks, where he encountered the suspect. An argument escalated into a physical altercation between the two. According to a source, the suspect retreated to an apartment in the “D” block, retrieved a knife and dagger, pursued the victim, and inflicted multiple stab wounds on him. The injured victim was rushed to Lily Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

In response to the incident, the police swiftly arrested the serving Police Inspector on the orders of the area commander. DSP Bright Edafe, the Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command, confirmed the report during a telephone conversation with DAILY POST in Warri, stating, “It’s confirmed.”
