The death of Queen Elizabeth II Thursday at the age of 96, was the end of an era, spanning seven decades. Queen Elizabeth who died peacefully at Balmoral Castle, her Scottish estate, had the longest reign for a British head of state in history.
Elizabeth ruled over the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms for a period which witnessed the administrations of 14 United States Presidents and 15 British Prime Ministers.
