The battle for the semi final tickets of the ongoing 37th Ramat International Cup competition will take the centre stage on Wednesday morning in the ancient city of Kano as Rivers State team takes on their Ogun State counterpart in an encounter expected to be thrilling.
Rivers with 10 points topped Group A while Ekiti with 11 points led Group B to set the pace for this game which the football loving people of the State are expected to come out en-mass to watch.
Kogi State team will continue its quest to take the next step to the desired place with a game against Ogun State just as Bauchi State will confront Kaduna State in what look like a northern derby while Kwara and Oyo States will slug it out for the last ticket of the day.
Most of the players from Kogi, Ogun and Bauchi spoken to on Tuesday said they were in high spirit to carry the day as their technical crew have done all kit need to be do for them to carry the day and by the grace of God victories will theirs.
Speaking on the Competition, the president of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) Dr. Nasiru Yusif Gawuna, who is also the Deputy Governor of Kano State, said that the children have with their attitude displayed so far showed that the greatness of the country lies with the youths.
“I must commend the players and officials for the level of discipline exhibited so far and I believe the body is taking notes of them,” he said.
