A retired civil servant with kano state government Malam Dauda Abdulhamid has called on the federal and States governments to open more employment opportunities for youths to be engaged on self-reliance and economically viable so as to be law abiding at all levels.
He made this known in a chat with our correspondent in his response to what is happening in the country during Endsars protest where he lamented that in many places, the protest turned to mayhem where youths were seen in a frontlines of the protest scenes which mostly resulted in unemployment and injustice from some leaders.
Malam Dauda added that ” if our teaming youths were given more employments in governments, private sectors and by corporate bodies, the country would be peaceful specially when everybody is busy doing his own activities that would upkeep his livelihood at both rural and urban settlements”. He stressed.
In conclusion, the retired civil servant tasked the media to verify any story they got before publishing because according to him, ” social media contributed in giving false news that fueled so many crisis in Nigeria today, and called on the federal and States governments to sanction any media outfit that fabricate news that breach the peace in order to sanitize news reporting system in the country.
