Rev. (Dr).Malachi Ogakwu Emerges New General Overseer for CEFN Mission

A new General Overseer, Dr. Malachi Ogakwu has been appointed for Christian Evangelical Fellowship of Nigeria, (CEFN) Mission.

He is Doctor Malachi Paul Onailo Ogakwu who untill his appointment was the Zonal Pastor of the CEFN in charge of Lokoja zonal Headquarters as well as the Kogi State Vice Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN)

According to the release signed by elder Aaron Ali and made available to Journalists in Lokoja said, Dr. Malachi Ogakwu was appointed General Overseer during the CEFN 41st Annual General Church Council (GCC), meeting held  on 22nd March 2024, at the CEFN National Headquarters, Anyigba, in Dekina Local Government Area.

Dr. Malachi Ogakwu who had served in that capacity before, was appointed General Overseer with an overwhelming majority.

Reverend (Dr.) Malachi Ogakwu who is expected to serve a five-year term will assume office on 20th April,.2024, the date for the investiture.

The new General Overseer of CEFN Mission, Reverend (Dr.) Malachi Ogakwu while speaking with our correspondent in Lokoja promised to justify the confidence reposed on him through greater commitment to the service of God.

He therefore appreciated the CEFN family in the ‘Lokoja zone’ for the cooperation and support towards the success of his administration as the zonal Pastor at the Kogi state headquarters.

However, the mantle of leadership would be handed over to the new General Overseer by the outgoing G.O, Rev. D.B Usman Ph.D after the end of his tenure in the mission.
