The Legislator who is Senate Committee Chairman on Power contended that security issue is a collective responsibility, even as he implored all and sundry to take issues concerning security seriously.

Suswam acknowledged the efforts of Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom in handling security issues in the state despite daunting challenges.

The Parliamentarian lauded the chairman and staff of the commission for identifying with the family during their moment of grief.

Earlier in his condolence message, the Chairman, Dr Meladu enjoined Sen. Gabriel Suswam to remain focused, urging him to liaise with other leaders of the nation to eliminate crimes in the country.

Meladu called for all hands to be on deck to tackle insecurity in the state and nation, lamenting that the death of Dr Suswam has created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.

The Chairman prayed to God to console Sen Suswam and the entire members of the family over the loss.
