Senator Aduda happy over hitch free voting exercise in FCT

By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

Senator Philip Aduda representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has expressed his happiness and commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the hitch free voting exercise of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in the Capital Territory.

Senator Aduda spoke shortly after voting in his polling unit 034, Old chief palace Karu village in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).

He said, “I just cast my vote and the BVAS functions well, this indicates that the INEC has put in place all the necessary arrangements to ensure a hitch free exercise.”

“I did my accreditation on time, and the accreditation is going on the way it ought to be, smoothly.”

The Senator, however, noted that nothing can be a 100% as human beings cannot be perfect, but at the moment, the process is going on well.

At the PU 089, 087, 014 at Jikwoyi phase II primary school, voters were seeing casting their votes.

One of the voters, Peter Omeji, described the process as peaceful, but called on INEC to split the polling unit to enable the large number of voters to enable the large crowd to discharge their civic duty of casting their votes.

The PU 071, Corner shop beside Redeemed Church Karu site, was not left out as there was a large turn out of voters and the exercise was going on during the time of filling this report.
