Senator Daduut equips 6 health centres in Plateau South

The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial district in the National Assembly Prof Nora Ladi Daduut , has equipped 6 Primary Healthcare Centres worth millions of naira in her constituency to improve the healthcare infrastructure.

Our correspondent reports that the six PHCs were equipped in Wase Tofa in Wase local government of the state as well as , Tudun Dorowa, Rijia Giwa , in Shendam local government council .

Others include the PHC in , Bwall, Yilpia-Dokan tofa, and Mararaba Dimshin in Quanpan local government council of the state .

Senator Daduut charged the Matrons of the PHC to put the facilities into good use as well take care of the medical equipment supplied in order for it to be well utilized for people seeking medical attention.

The Senator further added that the intervention is in fulfilment of her electoral promises to the residents of the communities.

She pointed that the heath intervention is imperative in the quest to expand access to quality and affordable healthcare services and as well reduce pressure on general hospitals.

According to her “The Primary Health Care’s are the closest health facilities to the people and it becomes imperative for us to strengthen them to nip at the bud, the health challenges that can boomerang and made us lose lives which can be saved through first responder facilities of this nature.

Senator Daduut vowed to always put the interest of her people first at all times .

We have chosen to stay committed to facilitating interventions that strengthen community focused health initiatives, to grease the skids for inclusive development that guarantees equitable access to essential services.

“Our enduring quest to improve the general wellness of the people, will continue to be given maximum priority in further fulfilment of our electoral promises. We are determined in our resolve to deepen access to quality and affordable health care services to undo the social disparities that limit the ability of underprivileged sections of society to approach essential services.

Each of the benefiting PHCs got 89 several items, which includes, hospital beds with mattresses, dressing trolleys, binocular microscopes, kidneys dishes, medium size refrigerators, a generating set, motorcycles , delivery couches with stirrups, suture kits, diagnostic sets, autoclaves, , test tube rack , examination coach , nursery cots among others.
