The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Simon Bako Lalong, has urged Nigerians to reflect on the values of hope, renewal, and responsible citizenship as Christians mark Easter.
In a message to commemorate the season, Lalong said Easter symbolises the triumph of life over death through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and offers an opportunity for spiritual reflection and renewal. He noted that the period calls on individuals and leaders to demonstrate integrity, humility, and a commitment to the common good.
The lawmaker emphasised that Nigeria’s development depends on citizens upholding values such as justice, accountability, and mutual respect. He also urged leaders at all levels to prioritise public welfare and strengthen democratic institutions.
Lalong appealed to residents of Plateau State to remain law-abiding and support efforts to maintain peace and stability, noting that sustainable development thrives in a secure and united environment.
He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing development in Plateau South and delivering democratic dividends to constituents. Lalong concluded by wishing Christians a meaningful Easter celebration and encouraged Nigerians to use the season as a catalyst for national renewal.
