SENATOR LALONG CONDOLES KWO NATION OVER DEATH OF LONG KWO, MISKOOM FIDELIS LONGTOE ATAHIRU

Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Bako Lalong has visited Kwande in QuanPan Local Government of Plateau State to condole the Kwo nation over the demise of the Long Kwo, HRH Miskoom Fidelis Longtoe Atahiru I.

Senator Lalong in company of the Member representing Shendam, Mikang, QuanPan Federal Constituency Chief John Dafaan arrived Kwande on Thursday 21st March 2024 for the condolence visit.

They visited the Palace of the Long Kwo where Senator Lalong described the late Royal Father as a man of peace and a uniting factor who did his best to reconcile the people after ascending the throne.

He said the late Miskoom Attahiru, a Second Class Traditional Ruler was a humble man who deployed his vast experience garnered in the military and elsewhere to manage the diversity of his Chiefdom without any problems.

While praying for the repose of his soul, Lalong urged the Kwo people to unite and stand together at this trying moment by eschewing anything that may create division among them.

While condoling the QuanPan Traditional Council, Lalong commiserated with them over the death of their colleague. He said the deceased was a man of integrity who supported his government through wise counsel and effective interface with the people.

Responding, the Long Jan of Namu Miskoom Safiyanu Allahnana thanked the Senator and Member for the visit describing it as comforting especially coming from the Representatives of the people at the national level.

He praised the former Plateau Governor for his fairness and other efforts which culminated in resolving the tussle over the Kwo stool which lingered for many decades.

In a similar development, the Senator visited the residence of a late community leader and grassroots politician Baba John Bosco Dawam Datap in Kwa, QuanPan Local Government to condole with them over the death of the elderstatesman.

He described the deceased as a servant leader who did a lot to uplift his community and contribute to the development of the State and nation at large.
