Senator Simon Bako Lalong, representing Plateau South Senatorial District, has expressed his shock and sorrow over the death of Ms. Josephine Tapgun, former Minister of State for Trade and Industry, who passed away recently in Abuja.
During a condolence visit to her residence in Abuja, Senator Lalong described her passing as a significant loss to Gamailand, Plateau State, and Nigeria as a whole.
He praised the late Tapgun as a woman of integrity, honesty, and commitment, noting that she served her country with zeal and dedication. Lalong further highlighted her kindness and compassion, emphasizing that she always gave her best for the benefit of humanity.
While offering his condolences to the family, the Senator prayed for the eternal rest of her soul and for forgiveness of her sins.
Hon. Sylvanus Tapgun, former Plateau State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, expressed the family’s gratitude for the Senator’s visit, noting that it had brought them comfort during this difficult time.
