Senator Plang Commends Nomination of Dadu’ut, Gambo as Ambassadorial Designates

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Labour, Employment and Productivity, Senator Diket Plang, has commended the nominations of Yakubu Gambo and Senator (Professor) Nora Dadu’ut as ambassadors designate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.In a statement on Monday, Senator Plang described their nominations as well-deserved, noting that the pair have distinguished themselves through years of service, character, and professional accomplishment. He said the appointments reflect not only political recognition but also a demonstration of “duty, dignity, compassion, and unwavering perseverance.” The senator, who represents Plateau Central, expressed confidence that both nominees from Plateau State will bring their extensive experience to bear in promoting Nigeria’s diplomatic interests abroad. According to him, their contributions will help advance the country’s economic diplomacy, deepen international alliances, and strengthen its global profile.S

enator Plang praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as merit-driven and strategic appointments. He emphasized that both Gambo and Dadu’ut have played significant roles in Nigeria’s national development and social reforms, making them worthy choices for ambassadorial responsibilities.“The nomination of Gambo and Dadu’ut among the non-career ambassadors reflects a thoughtful commitment to honoring merit,” he said. “I have a deep conviction that their appointments will further strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic corps.”He also lauded the entire list of ambassadorial nominees, citing the inclusion of Senator Ibrahim Jimoh of Ondo South as another testament to the administration’s commitment to capable representation. Plang expressed optimism that all nominees will work diligently to justify their appointments and elevate Nigeria’s standing on the global stage.
