The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, CON, has urged the management team of the North-Central Development Commission (NCDC) to embrace teamwork in order to effectively achieve the Commission’s statutory mandate.
Akume made the call in a statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Segun Imohiosen, following a courtesy visit by a high-powered delegation of newly appointed board members of the Commission, led by its Chairman, Barr. Cosmas Akighir, in Abuja.
The SGF emphasized the critical role of teamwork in attaining significant results and encouraged the board to remain united in their approach.
“It is what you decide to do as a team that will shape the Commission. Work as a team, and the result will be spectacular. I want to emphasise the need for teamwork — work together, and the sky will be your limit,” he said.
While congratulating the board on their appointments, Akume noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has confidence in their ability to deliver quality service to the North-Central region and the nation as a whole.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the NCDC Board, Barr. Cosmas Akighir, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu and the SGF for the confidence reposed in the board. He also appealed for the SGF’s continued support in helping the fledgling Commission fulfill its mandate.
