Sokoto Civil Servants; We Have Not Received February, March Salaries

The coalition of Sokoto state Civil Servants has denied the statement made by the Commissioner of Information that Sokoto government has paid February salaries.

Addressing newsmen at the press center Malam Ibrahim Musa of the Shehu Shagari College of Education said both February and March salaries have not been paid adding that the statement made by the Commissioner of Information Alhaji Akibu Dalhatu that the salaries have earlier been released to their respective banks.

The coalition as a matter of urgency called on the state government to pay them their February and March salaries saying they had not experienced such delay in receiving salaries for decades.

“We heard lots of stories about our salary but for a whole serving Commissioner to falsely misinformed the citizens on a serious and important life-saving issue like “salary”, we cannot condone,says the coalition spokesman Ibrahim A. Musa.
