…..as Bafarawa undertakes supervisory activities at locations
Sokoto State Ministry of Environment under the watch and supervision of Hon. Sagir Attahiru Bafarawa had through its various activities such as forest guard and protection, tree plantations, Re-greening Sokoto State Programme, flood control; environmental health and pollution control achieved and recorded visible success that paved way for the development of Sokoto State in many ways.
Alhaji Sagir Attahiru Bafarawa is a man of ideas that always contribute immensely in rapid development of Sokoto State in the phase of environment.
In less than 3 years of his assumption to office as Commissioner of the Ministry, a lot of positive changes and achievements were recorded in the areas mentioned above.
On the second thought, flood and erosion control activities are among the noticeable projects engaged so deeply by the Sokoto State Government through the office of the Sagir Attahiru Bafarawa as Chairman State Steering Committee for NEWMAP in Sokoto State. The construction of 18.59 kilometer storm water management works at Mabera, Tudun-wada and Nakasari in the metropolis are among the major achievements recorded as clearly observed how active and committed Hon. Sagir Attahiru Bafarawa has been from the beginning of the ‘Mabera Project’ to its end.
His media aide, Ghani Avdullahi said at Kurfi area of Kware LGA of Sokoto State and at Kwanni/Kofar-kade of Sokoto North LGA of the state similar projects towards averting and controlling flood and soil erosion are ongoing in the state under the watch and effective supervision of Hon. Sagir Attahiru Bafarawa.
