Spendify, an African financial technology platform, has announced the appointment of content creator Bukunmi Adelani, popularly known as *Bukunmi the Preacher*, and Ifeyinwa Adelani (Iffy) as its new Brand Ambassadors.The announcement was made during the official unveiling of the upgraded Spendify 2.5 platform in Lagos, Nigeria. Speaking at the event, John Akadi, Lead for Business Strategy at Spendify, described the partnership as a major milestone for the company as it works to expand its reach and deepen digital financial inclusion across Africa.
Akadi said the newly enhanced Spendify 2.5 is a mobile-first money management solution designed for individuals, freelancers, and the continent’s growing micro and small business sector. He added that the company’s choice of Bukunmi and Iffy was informed by their strong influence among young people, SMEs, and everyday entrepreneurs.“Spendify was built for mobile-driven entrepreneurs who need simple, reliable tools to stay in control of their money. His voice will help us reach and empower them at scale,” Akadi said.Taiwo Oluwasanya, Marketing Advisor and Go-to-Market Lead at Spendify, said the ambassadors play a key role in the company’s relaunch strategy. “Our focus is on authentic voices that our target audience trusts,” he explained.He noted that Spendify 2.5 introduces a redesigned interface and a suite of business-friendly features, including professional invoice generation, receipt management, income and expense tracking, budgeting tools, financial goal-setting, cash flow analysis, and an intuitive tax calculator tailored to local markets.Chief Technology Officer Revelation Onuche highlighted that the upgraded platform addresses practical financial challenges faced by more than 52 million micro and small business owners across West, East, and Southern Africa. He said the virtual unveiling, attended by participants from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and the diaspora, showcased how the platform helps users transition from manual bookkeeping to organized digital financial management.
Spendify’s AI Lead, Damilola Daramola, added that the platform fills a critical gap for individuals and small enterprises that lack access to structured financial tools. “The goal is to help people understand their money and make better decisions,” he said.Expressing her excitement, Ifeyinwa Adelani said she was proud to join the Spendify movement. She described the app as a practical solution to everyday financial struggles faced by young Nigerians and entrepreneurs. “I meet so many people who are trying to better their lives and businesses but don’t have an easy way to track their money,” she said.
